first impressions
This photo is apparently a hit - it was included in yet another Etsy Treasury today (thanks!). I had this listing up for quite some time but until I added this photo it never got too much attention. I actually have several rings (among other things) in my shop that are made from recycled wood buttons, most of which have the same picture…. but not as the main one. Guess how much attention...

staying warm by the heat of the torch
It’s been a long winter here in nyc, and it’s not over yet. I love the snow – and don’t even mind the cold! - but the early nights and the slushy streets have taken their toll. I’ve been hunkering down in my apartment most evenings after work, chasing away social activity for long hours in the kitchen or at the workbench. As a result, I’ve had a lot of time to work on some experimental projects...
